My Story

Empire has been doing an amazing job in Bristol and the surrounding areas over the past 15 years and it's a real priviledge to be able to take on this (pretty grim) challenge in order to hopefully raise some valuable funds for the charity. The fact the charity reaches over 4,000 young people across the SW each year is testament to the effort and commitment that is put into the charity- and the great work that comes out of it at the other side.

Across 7 and 8 May I will be attempting the 4-4-48 challenge. This means that I will run 4 miles, every 4 hours, for 48 hours. My first run will be at midnight on the Thursday and my final run at 8pm on the Saturday. No breaks, a 4 mile (6.4k for those who deal in k) run on each four hour mark. I'm not hopeful that my knees will thank me.

This challenge is all about being uncomfortable- limited rest, no sleep, and a real mental as well as physical challenge. I'd hope it's worthy of donation!

Thanks,

Oli
